Specialised CNC wheel turning machine model KS1836F3 is designed for machining of new and restoration of worn-out profiles of wheel sets of electric locomotives, diesel locomotives, underground cars, motor-car sections. In addition to profiles, the machine can be used for machining wheel centres for bandage attachment.
The machine can be used for:
- machining of various wheel set profiles by two calipers simultaneously in numerical programme control mode;
- automatic measurement of the machined profile with display of the results on the control panel monitor and input of the correction for the movement of the slides to the initial positions of the beginning of machining;
- determination of wheel wear value and optimisation of machining allowance;
- operation in automatic, adjustment and manual modes;
