Active Shoulder Prosthesis PR4-A.1 for Enhancing Self-Care and Functionality

Designed to ensure the actions of disabled people (according to the level of amputation) for self-service in the home and public places, as well as to compensate for a cosmetic defect.

The prosthesis shall consist of a mechanical hand, cosmetic shell, wrist assembly, elbow-forearm assembly, shoulder sleeve, active control elements, silicone sleeve (if medically indicated), form-forming cosmetic liner and flesh-coloured liner (if necessary), custom-made prosthesis attachment elements. The application of the mechanical hand, cosmetic sheath, wrist unit is performed similarly to the production of the active hand prosthesis. To control the prosthesis, there should be a pull rod attached to the grip mechanism and connected to the axillary attachment loop at the shoulder level. The shoulder sleeve shall be made of laminated plastic based on bonding resins or thermoplastics, taking into account the individual characteristics of the user's residual limb.
