The life-size model consists of 5 parts, including a two-part heart, which gives an opportunity to view the internal structure of the chambers and valves. The thoracic bone and thymus gland are removable, which allows you to study the pericardium and the main vessels of the pulmonary and systemic circulation circle. The model demonstrates the passage of the trachea and oesophagus through the upper aperture of the thorax and their location in the mediastinum; the lower aperture of the thorax is separated from the diaphragm muscles.
