Articulated hopper wagons, model 19-6978-01

Six-axle hopper wagon of articulated type model 19-6978-01 is designed for transportation of mineral fertilisers. The wagon has no analogues on the CIS market. The increased body volume of 160 m³ allows to transport effectively the whole range of bulk cargoes with full utilisation of the load capacity of 113,5 tonnes. Such results were achieved due to the articulated design of the wagon: its two sections are connected by the articulated articulation device SAC-1, which ensures unobstructed passage of curved sections of the track, including small radii, and humps of marshalling hills. Eight loading hatches, located as close as possible to each other, ensure uniform filling of the entire body volume. The wagon is equipped with bogies model 18-9855 with increased axial load of 25 tonnes and integrated executive part of the brake, and also has a system of separate bogie braking.
