AT2C-2800/400H Traction Synchronous Unit for Powering DC Motors and Diesel Starters

The AT2C-2800/400X unit is designed for powering DC traction motors via rectifier, diesel engine starting, powering auxiliary consumers and traction unit excitation system. It consists of two synchronous generators made in one case (traction generator with the capacity of 2800 kW and auxiliary generator with the capacity of 400 kW). Active parts of the traction and auxiliary generators are maximally unified with the generator GTSN-2800, put into serial production in TMH-Elektroteh LLC, and the AT2C-2800/600 unit. The use of the AT2C-2800/400X unit, which is part of the modernised diesel-generator set 18-9DGM produced by Kolomna Plant, will allow to refuse the use of foreign engines in the design of diesel locomotives and switch to domestic components.
