Description

The optical cable contains a core in the form of a central tube, inside which up to 48 single-mode or multi-mode optical fibres are located. The inner space of the tube is filled with hydrophobic compound or other water blocking material along its entire length. An aramid or glass fibre webbing can be applied on top of the core. Upon agreement with the customer, an intermediate sheath may be applied to the cable core, covered with special fibreglass tape or fibreglass threads providing the necessary protection against rodents. On top of the core or filament or intermediate sheath is applied a polymer sheath made of polyethylene or polymer compound, which does not spread combustion in single or group laying.
