DT and DD Type Fiber Optic Cables for Communication Support and Installation

Fibre-optic cables in the form of eight are designed: for hanging on the supports of communication lines, poles of city lighting, between buildings and structures. DT type cable is easy to install and is an attractive alternative to suspended self-supporting fibre optic cables for spans up to 150 metres (1). Dielectric version of cable type DD has all the advantages of cable type DT and due to the absence of metal in the structure can be used with increased requirements for resistance to external electromagnetic effects. In case of cable laying conditions with fire safety requirements, at the Customer's request, the outer sheath can be made of polymer compositions that do not propagate combustion (designation of such cable DTn). The compact DTn type cable has been designed as the final link in the FTTx optical network with many advantages such as light weight, good flexibility, easy installation and low cost.
