Dump wagons of model 32-6982 are designed for transportation and automated unloading of overburden and rock, as well as various coal-ore rocks, soil, sand, crushed stone and other similar cargoes on mainline railways of 1520 mm gauge.

Increased body volume up to 42 m3 and increased load capacity allow dumpcars model 32-6982 and 32-6982-01 to efficiently transport bulk cargoes of various fractions. The availability of two modifications of the dump car optimises the transportation of different nomenclature of cargoes. Model 32-6982 with a shock-absorbing floor allows loading and unloading of large fractions of ore without damaging the wagon structure.
