Fixing Screw VF/18/LM-KF for Intramedullary Osteosynthesis in Limb Treatment

Fixation screws are designed for intramedullary locked osteosynthesis in the treatment of injuries and diseases of the upper and lower extremities with intramedullary fixators. Fractures of metaepiphyseal (periarticular) section of tubular bones, prevention of pathological fractures of metaepiphyseal (periarticular) section of tubular bones, surgical treatment of acquired and congenital deformities of distal sections of lower limbs. The type of fixation of Fixators is intramedullary; due to elastic properties of the Fixator by spiral-shaped coils of the spoke, which are stabilised in the lumen of the medullary canal, there is a possibility of additional fixation by blocking screws. Fixators and screws are intended for single use. The calcium phosphate coating on the titanium alloy of the fixator suppresses increased bone resorption, stimulates bone formation or normalises both processes of bone remodelling, which shortens the consolidation time.
