Designed for pumping clean liquids from reservoirs and wells: fresh and sea water, paraffin, petrol, oil, oil with temperature up to 70°C and viscosity not more than 10 cm2/sec. The pump casing is manufactured by precision cast iron casting with subsequent machining, and the mechanism parts are made of high carbon steel or cast iron. The valve chamber has 4 holes into which 2 valves (suction and discharge) are pressed. The end of the shaft coming out of the casing is connected to a handle to actuate the manual mechanism of the pump.
The shaft through a rod drives the piston, which has piston rings, into reciprocating motion. The movements of the piston in the cylinder alternately create vacuum and pressure in the chamber, the valve system allows the liquid to flow according to the working cycle. Normal operation of the mechanism is possible if the valve system works correctly. For this purpose, the valve box cover must be strictly horizontal.
When installing the pipework, it is recommended to use bends, angles, avoid possible kinks in the pipework, and for contaminated liquids, a filter on the intake pipework. If the suction height > 3 metres, the cover must be removed before starting work to fill the working chamber, the intake hose with the pumped liquid.
