Microprocessor Control System for DC Passenger Electric Locomotive MPSU-007-02 - Efficient Management and Control

MPSU-007-02 is a control system that implements the functions of monitoring and controlling the equipment of the mainline DC passenger electric locomotive EP2K at the software level. MPSU is designed for: realisation of "Auto control" and "Manual control" modes of the electric locomotive in traction and braking modes; realisation of "Auto guidance" and "Advisor" modes by commands received from the train auto guidance subsystem included in MPSU-007-01 and MPSU-007-02; realisation of rheostatic braking with maintenance of the set speed on descents; control of equipment and auxiliary drive; diagnostics of the electric locomotive equipment state. MPSU is made on the basis of microprocessor control units united in the on-board computer network by a serial communication channel.
