Multiaxial Fabric ARMATON 770294 for Reinforcing Composites

Multiaxial fabric is a woven textile material made of several layers of glass roving strands stacked on top of each other and sewn with polyester threads. Multiaxial fabrics are used in the manufacture of composite products, including those with complex construction, due to the variable angle of fibre direction in the fabric layers (0° and 90°, or +45° and -45°, etc.), multilayer structure (1, 2, 3, 4 layers of roving strands). The multiaxial fabric can be duplicated with chopped fibre glass mat (chop mat) or non-woven fabric for better adhesion within the composite or for surface finishing. Unlike classic roving glass fabrics, multiaxial glass fabrics allow glass composite products to be manufactured with increased strength, lower weight and lower resin consumption.
