Optical cable is designed for laying on coastal, shelf, deep sea areas, through straits, fjords at depths up to 600 m with possible burial; through water obstacles, over bridges, overpasses, into cable ducts, into the ground, in areas with active manifestations of permafrost-soil processes. The cable contains a tubular core, a protective cover made of:
- 1 layer - a bundle of steel or copper wires with copper tape (if necessary) to supply the equipment;
- 2 layer - protective PE sheath;
- 3 protective layer - single or double layer of steel wires with intermediate sheath made of polymer material; outer sheath made of polyethylene. Cables may contain standard optical fibres (OV E3 (G652D) / E3 (G652D)_200 / E3 (G657A1/G652D) / E3 (G657A1/G652D) ALPHA / E3 (G657A1/G652D)_200 / E2 (G654E), manufactured according to TU 27.31.12-004-99992751-2017 or TU 636570-002-99992751-2016), produced in the territory of the member countries of the Eurasian Economic Union.
