SigmaVent-60-NO Fire Dampers for HVAC Systems - Fire Prevention

The Sigmavent-60-NO valves are designed to block the spread of fire and combustion products through ducts, shafts and channels of ventilation and air conditioning systems of buildings and structures of various types. According to paragraph 6.11 of the Code of Regulations 7.13130.2013 "Heating, ventilation and air conditioning. Fire protection requirements" fire protection normally open dampers should be installed in the openings of enclosing building structures with standardised fire resistance limits or on either side of these structures, providing the fire resistance limit of the duct on the section from the surface of the enclosing structure to the damper flap, equal to the standardised fire resistance limit of this structure.
