Spark Protection Barrier A701 for Safe Signal Transmission in Hazardous Areas

Intrinsic protection barriers are devices for providing intrinsically safe signal circuits and power supply for vibration, pressure, eddy current sensors located in the hazardous area, as well as for transmission of voltage signals from sensors in the safe area to the recording equipment. A701 is an active intrinsic protection barrier from GTLAB for connection of two-wire sensors, including IEPE standard without loss of amplitude and frequency range. Supply current of two-wire sensors: 4.5 mA, 5.7 mA, 10.2 mA; three-wire sensors with 18V, 20 mA.

The barrier is installed on a DIN-rail, circuits are mounted to terminal blocks. A701 corresponds to the level of explosion-protected equipment - [Ex ia Ga] IIC and has the degree of protection against external influences IP20.
