Special Syringes for Liquid/Gas Administration in Medical Applications

A non-sterile device consisting of a calibrated cylinder with a piston, designed to introduce liquids/gases (e.g. drugs) into a medical device or body or to extract liquids/gases from a medical device/body (i.e. used for both introduction and suction); the device can be used for a variety of medical purposes and is not specifically designed for the administration of drugs.

At the distal end of the cylinder is a pin connector (usually of the Luer-lock/Luer-slip type) for connecting the socket connector (socket) of a hypodermic needle or drug administration set. It is made of glass and the piston may have anti-adhesion properties to allow easy handling by hand or with a syringe pump. It is a reusable product.
