Pumps are used to pump the sewage and domestic water from the collection tank to the sewage storage tank of the ship. The ejector creates a vacuum in the pipeline. The wastewater then flows out of the ejector back into the collection tank. The operation of emptying the collection cistern is carried out manually or automatically.
