Single row deep groove roller bearings with short cylindrical rollers (types 2000, 32000, 42000, 92000, 232000) are designed to support radial loads and have significantly higher radial load carrying capacity and rigidity than ball bearings due to low elastic deformation.
Bearings with flanges on the outer and inner rings can also support a certain axial load, the amount of which depends on the shape of the sliding surfaces of the roller face and flange and mainly on the lubricant.
Due to the relatively low friction, the bearings allow relatively high rotational speeds, although they are inferior in this parameter to ball bearings.
