The switches are designed for operation in coal and oil shale mines, hazardous by gas and dust, as well as in their surface buildings, in explosive zones of production facilities, means of transport and storage of products of chemical, oil refining, gas and other industries.

VPV-1A consists of a cover and a body. They are made: the body - of aluminium alloy AL-2 GOST 1583-89, the cover - of press-material AG-4S GOST 20437-75. In VPV-1A is installed one block contact 1p+1z with a lever drive with a roller.
