Special Pipe Processing Machine Model RT983 for Thread Cutting Applications

The special pipe machining machine model RT983 is designed for machining pipes and parts for them, including threading in single and small batch production. The machine is used in industries manufacturing and repairing pipes and pipe joint parts, as well as in metalworking industries, where the pipe is used as a workpiece. The pipe to be machined is passed through a hollow spindle, clamped by two mechanised chucks and rotates with the spindle.

The other end of the pipe is mounted on a support lunette. The machine can be used for external turning, boring, drilling as well as thread cutting: metric and inch threads. The machine has a tapered ruler for machining tapered surfaces and cutting tapered threads.

The machine design provides for automation of individual elements of multi-pass thread cutting cycle.
