Designed for quantitative determination of Willebrand factor activity in blood plasma both manually by agglutination method and on optical aggregometers.Willebrand factor circulates in the blood in the form of a complex with coagulation factor VIII and provides interaction of platelets with damaged vascular surface. Reduced plasma content of this factor or lack of its biological activity is the main cause of Willebrand's disease, so the determination of its activity is one of the important diagnostic tests.
