Description

The cable contains a core of modular construction with a central element of a steel optical module with pre-tensioned optical fibres, around which optical modules with loosely laid fibres are twisted. The free space in the optical modules and in the cable core is filled with hydrophobic gel. The core is covered with an intermediate sheath made of polyethylene. Armour of steel wires is spirally applied on the intermediate sheath. The free space between the wires is filled with hydrophobic gel. A sheath of high-density polyethylene is superimposed on the armour.
